Right on! You'll love the traction--that thing will help you a lot. I totally agree about DST. Sucks going to work when it's dark and getting home when it's dark. I love the longer days too--having light until almost 8:30pm.

Has anyone here acquired a diff case spreader since this thread was last alive? I need one and would really like to use it during the preload part of the job in addition to simply make getting the Rubi's locker (to fix an air leak) out easier. If you have one or a carrier bearing puller which I also need somewhere close to San Diego, please PM me!The Geezer Jeep: http://www.greentractortalk.com/jerryb/index.htm

Im in Yorba Linda, if that helps, and I got it all.
But even with a Rubi (and even more so with the rubi) you dont really need a case spreader. You would do good though, with a shim driver. I dont think you need a spreader till you get to the D60.*Ricky Bobby* "I'm on FIRE!"... "I'm on FIRE!"...

I made case spreaders for both D30 and D44. Only for needed reassembly though.
One thing I didn't see mentioned here. If you use a case spreader be damn careful not to spread more than .040-.050 or you could damage the housing.[CENTER][COLOR=#ff0000]Resistance Off Road
