    Fixed!

Thanks Art. It's good to know that we have a shop close to home.

I went to J E Reel on the way to work this morning and they had it ready at the end of the day. Scott, the guy I talked with was a nice, easy-going guy. Even though he was short-handed today, he still got the job done for me.

The shaft was bent and had to be straightened. After balancing, the shaft had less weights needed than before.

The shaft and slider are back on and the vibration is gone.

Only down-side, it cost me $120!

Thanks everyone for all the good advice.

        Just an addendum...

You are right Vern. The no vibration only lasted a few runs and I had the shakes again at about 60 miles per hour. I took the driveshaft back and they lost it for a couple of days. When I called about it, they balanced it again and it turned out that it needed some added weight.

I put it back on and the vibrations came back but at 65 to 70 MPH. I pulled the front DS and took Mr. Green for a spin...no vibrations.

I took the front DS to Driveshaft Specialist, 1117 W. Foothill Bvld, Azusa 91702.
2.5 hours and $35 bucks later, I had a straightened and balanced front DS.

Put it on and took it for a run...Mr. green runs smooth again. Sometimes, you don't get what you pay for.
