Just out of the blue my passenger side front seat belt in my 2000 TJ has seized up. I have dug around in there to see if anything is obstructing it, but can't see anything.
There is a little steel ball inside that works as a gravity lock. Ever noticed how it can be difficult or impossible to put your seatbelt on when you're Jeep is at an odd angle? One more reason to get harnesses. It's possible that you have some corrosion or crap in there that's getting in the way of that ball or something else. IIRC, you need a torx security bit to take it off, but I don't remember what size. (I'm no longer using the stock roll bar.) Short of removing it you might be able to blow it with compressed air or tap it with something.
If you want to replace it I'm sure there would be tons of suitable replacements at a local Ecology or Pick-A-Part. If you get it from a Jeep, bring your torx security bits.
It's all salvaged parts, but they are in like new condition with all the hardware included. I got a set of rear seat belts with all the hardware & floor brackets from him. Very reasonably priced. I also got an oil pan too, to replace the one I put a hole in as I tried to spin the DJ on a point boulder!! hehe

Any ideas? Replacement ideas?
Buggs,
If you can't figure it out I have a whole set of front seat belts from an 02 TJ you can have.
