I asked my wife (the quilter) about suppliers of material, she said probably only a vinyl type junk at the regular fabric stores. She suggested calling auto or marine upholstery shops, military surplus stores, or even e-bay, craig's list for slightly damaged (small tear in a corner) bikini or safari tops.

She also said don't use your wife's or gf's bikini tops (too hard to seal all the seams) and don't hang out at the nude beaches looking for tops cuz you'll never get the project done.
