  • Daylighters black paint fading

The top black paint on my daylighters is fading and looks really bad. It's not even shiny anymore, just dull and white-ish. Anyone else have this problem? They're about a year old!

could have something to do with the fact that you live in the desert. I'd recomend repainting them.

Repainting them should be fine. But check the lights first. Do they get hot when they're on? If so, you may want to use a heat resistant spraypaint to avoid peeling or even a possible fire hazard. Otherwise, with the proper paint, there shouldn't be a problem.

Look for a paint the is UV resistant or something, that will help with the fading.
