    Lucerne/Johnson Valley, Big Bear/Arrowhead, Silverwood/Lytle Creek, Jawbone/Dove Springs, and Ocatillo Wells. These are all good local areas with lots of trails from beginner to advance.

    I also love the fact that you have the beach, the mountains, the desert.....All withing an hour or so drive.
