  • New to the board, but not to Jeeping

    Hi everybody,

My name is Kathryn aka JeepKat or Kat but never Kathy. I own a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. I drove it over Sledge Hammer once, but it is retired from Rock Crawling. I like to drive my husbands Jeep and scare myself silly from time to time. For those of you attending the Rookie Run, I look forward to meeting you and having a fun day of wheeling on the trials.

    Kat

I'm new to the board as well. Saw the Dana Point hometown...my wife and I had our first home there (actually a rented duplex) on a street called Surfside. We were five minutes walk from Doheny and the beach, consistently enjoyed all the "Lantern" streets, and spent Sundays at the marina with serious boat envy.

Maybe we'll see you all on the trail one day...

Welcome to the board! I'm about a five minute drive or less to the harbor depending on the traffic. They are widening the area from the freeway to A's Burgers in both directions and there is a proposal to make the PCH one-way streets into two lane traffic. I think that might be a good idea. I had a lady turn left in front of me on the one-way from the middle lane the other day. Good thing my husband had just fixed the brakes on our "04 Jeep the day before or I would have had a white hood ornament.

We've been having some incredible sunsets here lately.

                    Wishing you Happy Holidays!

Thank you! I love everything about Jeepin! I love to go camping and I'm looking forward to New Year's at Johnson Valley.

I recently met two more women who enjoy the sport when we spent Thanksgiving week at Johnson Valley. I wish that more wives and girlfriends enjoyed the sport.

Some of my really good friends and best wheeling buddies are on this board so I thought that I'd come over to the dark side

Thank you for the warm welcome,
                      Kat

                        Hi Tam,

My post count was at zero, so I thought I'd start by introducing myself. Are you and Chris joining us for New Years at JV? I'm looking forward to going.

I can't believe that Christmas is on Monday, it's almost here.

Blaine has a birthday coming up on Jan ?th, so maybe I can take advantage of the Christmas Sale's to get him a good present now.

                        Happy holidays!
                        Kat

Hi Kathryn aka Kat. It's been a while since I've seen you and your significant other. I hope all is well. Welcome to MJR and I am looking forward to seeing you folks again. Maybe around a campfire again.
