    Hi all

Got my winch installed this weekend.
Here is a pic of the winch installed and the Rock it Man front bumper installed.

Will post more as we start the install of the RE lift kit either next week, or the week after that.

ARF ARF killer winch install, now you need one of those custom winch guard light bars he makes. If you look in blackzzrs gallery you will see it

        That looks sweet.
I was planning of getting the Warn one that will mount to the Warn winch mount.

What is a price for the one that you built there?
The Warn guard is like 170.

        Question though.

How is the water temp when running down the road.
The only concern I have with putting a lot of things up front, is restricting the air flow to the radiator.
Here in the Central Valley of Ca, it gets really hot here, and you need as much air flow as possible to keep your jeep running cool.

        Thanks

As you can see from the pic, that my my jeep rocks window sticker is not centered.
I should have listened to Teresa (The Boss) and had her help me get it lined up correctly.

PM me with where to send some money for another window sticker.

so far I cannot say I have noticed a differnce in the water temp. I am running a electric fan though so I think it kicks on and off with the temp

another thing, you should ask Chriss what one of those would cost, I assume you have a warn winch plate, I put the same winch on a Ramsey plate as the plate is 70 dollars less and they are drilled the same. However when we designed the guard/lightbar we kinda wondered what the difference between the 2 plates would be. and the intall was easy. it took us all of 15 to 20 minutes and that included pulling the winch and plate to drill it for the guard.
one of the reasons I wanted such a low guard was not to interupt airflow, all the other ones I had seen were further back or higher, and nearer the radiator grill, this one is in front of the motor of the winch. which makes sense for protection.
I did not want to hijack this thread, sorry, the winch rocks.
we also took care to make sure there was plenty of room to work all the controls on the winch. Saturday at Calico Ric and myself stretched the wire rope and I think we have to say the guard in no way interferes with anything.

                      Thanks

No problem with getting a little off track here.
I will have to get ahold of Chris to see what they can fab up down there.
They may have something all ready in the works for a configuration like this.
I would really prefer to have a hoop that comes up to the top line of the hood. God forbid we ever roll it, we protect the hood line somewhat.

I did look at the winch plate from Harbor Freight, but they said it had to be sold with a winch. I asked why it had its own part number on the web.
                      They where just clueless.

                      Sweet fab on yours Blackzzr.

                      Thanks

i havent had any over heating problems because of the winch.
dont forget to stretch the cable.
if/when you decide to get the synthetic rope, masterpull has the best prices.

the more I see synthetic cables getting a work out, and how fast they get to be respooled, the more I want to jump on the banwagon and get one.
I figure at the current rate of spending done nationally wide on jeep accesories that we will soon pass california as a world wide economy.
