  • Been gone so long I'm practically a NEWBIE

Wow...I just realized it's been a LONG time since I've been active on many of my boards for more than just a hit-and-run post here and there.

So much has changed in the last 4 years, I guess I should probably post up as a newbie again.

Hi, I'm Pete. I drive a '96 XJ. I live in Corona, CA. The TJ is long gone.

    Things that have changed:

    I am no longer married.
I do not go to the Hammers anymore.
I no longer own a TJ
I have a hot rod (sorta....it's still in the build stages)
I have an XJ! It is built.

    Things that have not changed:

    I still like Truckhaven.

    A little about my Jeep:
    • '96 XJ with hybrid Pro Comp/Rubicon Express lift (5" or so).
    • Rear XJ Dana 44 with Eaton E-Locker, Front HP Dana 30 with Lockright. Both axles have G2 Chromoly Axle Shafts and 4.56 gears.
    • I put a SYE in the NP231, and I run the same driveshaft front and rear. It's very handy, I only have to carry one spare.
    • I have 33x12.50x15 Pro Comp Xtreme MT's on Pro Comp 1028 Alloys (now discontinued).
    • It has a Magna-Flow muffler with Magna-Flow high flow cat (CA OBDII compliant). I have a <unnamed> LED light bar on the roof.
    • I modified the AW4 computer to allow me to manually select either 1st or 2nd.
    • It runs a Cobra CB through a K40 base-load antenna.

    There's more, I'm sure.

I don't really care about any of the things I thought were important a few years ago. I just want to go wheeling.

Anyway, hopefully I won't be so much of a stranger anymore. No guaranties, but I do like wheeling again.
'96 XJ, HP D30 front, XJ D44 rear, Lockright/E-Locker, 4.56's, Cobra CB, 33" Pro Comp xTreme MT's, SYE, Smittybilt XRC10 winch with Synth Rope, mutt lift.

Pete, glad to have you back. Some of your stories about previous adventures were pretty darn entertaining

It seems some of the old (not literality) members are popping their heads in again. I do miss the old avitar.
