I got my CJ7 about 2 months ago.

    1983 CJ7 Laredo
    87k original miles
    Hard Top and Soft Top
Soft half doors and windows (I sold the hard doors)
    Full cage
    Straight-6 with Mopar MPI
    Power steering
    Power brakes with front disc
    2.5" Rancho Lift
33x12.5x15 on 8" OEM Wagon Wheels (rattle can black)
    D30/f AMC20/r D300 with 5-speed
    JKS Disconnects

    I desperately want to upgrade:
    gearing to 4:56
Rear axel to D44 with selectable locker
    additional armor
    Wench
    Paint (not so desperately)

I try to drive it as much as possible. I've taken it out for a few off road shakedown's ... passed with flying colors (had to replace one motor mount)

I'm looking forward to running with other Jeepers (hopefully, some other CJ's included) in and around Orange County, San Diego County, the high desert and the Havasu area where I've spent most of my recreational life boating (no more boats).

[COLOR="sienna"]Welcome aboard! Glad to see another classic Jeep!

Careful on the "wench" upgrade, the current "wench" may not like that.

Thanks of the kind words ... not too worried about the paint, in the picture it looks cleaner than it really is ... however, I'd rather not ding it up

It will be good to get out with others.

So far, I've only been out to Holcomb in Trabuco Canyon (I think that's what it's called) and I flat towed it out to Pahrump, NV and ran up some easier trails around Spring Mountain.

I'd like to get up around Big Bear and Cleghorn

Welcome to MJR. You have come to the right place for Jeepin'

Oh, if you were wheeling in Trabuco Cyn, you were probably in Holy Jim Canyon. The Holcomb trail is in The San Berardino National Forest.
