I know what you mean. If it's not raining, then the wind is blowing. Half the time it feels like I'm on an endless turn the way the steering wheel is turned half way just to go straight

The wind out here blows TWICE as hard. It will blow rocks in your eyeballs if you have the doors off, and dang that hurts.
