  • New to the forum

    Hey all,

New to the forum, here to make some friends and find trails in the SoCal area. Big bear is all I have been too and have not seen to much of it yet. Prerunned for a few years in the Hodge Road Dale Evens Parkway area. This is my first four wheel drive vehicle and this weekend was my first trip out. Fun times but not liking the alone drive especially since I am new to wheeling and the trails. Any how I am running an 08-JK Unlimited Sahara on 35x12.5R18 with a 2.5” Pro-Comp lift and Pro-Comp wheels. Put a Smittybilt SRC bumper on last night. Saving for some more goodies.

    Thanks for your time,

    Danny

Well thanks. Thinking the 35’s are a bit much for this lift. When they reach their breaking point going to go with 33’s

We know why but, Who, What, Where and When on the 17th are you guys meeting?

I have seen some of your pics and I know I am not ready for that… Gotta get my feet wet first. Is this trip going to be easy or moderate? Moderate for the new guy…

Welecome to MJR! It is the best Jeepin' website on the www.

Check out the Trail Rides and Events section. The run on the 17th is posted there.

One day Danny, the sickness will creep in and your pics will look like mine!

The run on the 17th isn't nearly as hard as the Big Bear pics. And I've seen less capable jeeps than yours run Miller and do fine. Just remember one thing...when you run with a group, you're never left behind and everyone has straps, winches, experience, and all the tools needed to get you out of any situation you might run across. Your lifted, have rock sliders, have bigger tires than me, and Definitely a bigger engine. You'd do just fine on Miller. I have a friend who had no lift on his JK and 33's and Zero wheeling experience...Miller was his first run. He's hooked now lol ! Come on out with us !!!

Welcome to the site! You'll love the folks here, not a better group anywhere. In regards to the 17th trip, it looks like it's on Miller Jeep Trail. you will be fine, I managed to do it in my stock YJ on 31s last year with only having to get a tug once. You should be fine with your rig in my opinion.

Welcome to MJR. Miller is the best place around to get your feet wet. If you finish at the top, and head down Alamo mtn, thru Hungry Valley OHV. There's a "jeep playground". It's a good spot to see what you and your Jeep are capable of. It's more then you think. Have Fun.
It was like that when I got here.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Miller Trail sound very fun but I am not sure if I can get out and play this weekend. I will check the Trail Rides and Events section frequently though thanks for the heads up. Hope to get out with you all soon.
