  • Just New Here.

Hi all, I am just new to the site and wanted to say hi. I am fairly new to the Jeep world to as i just recently bought a '93 wrangler sport. It has a 2.5l with only 125000km's on it. It sits on top of 31x10.5 wild counrty radial rvt tires. If anyone has any tips on how to gain more power with out droping alot of cash, please let me know.

Oh ya, the 3 weeks i have had my jeep have been a blast, can say i will never buy a different kind of 4x4 again!!!

Welcome to MJR and the great life of Jeeping.I don't think there is much you can do for more power in a 2.5,maybe cold air intake and a cat back exhaust will help.Have fun

Its as much fun getting dirty as it is being dirty in a Jeep!

      Welcome to MJR.

Although the 4.2 has more power, there's many members running the 2.51. It does everything they want it to, well except maybe go 75 mph up the local mountain passes. With a Jeep, it's not so much power as it is the gearing and the driver's skill.

        He's right

With my 2.5L, '93 it's all about the gearing, I went from the stock 4.10's to 4.88's and it was the best thing I ever did!

Mine is a 5 speed and sits on 33x12.5's and with it regeared, it will do 75mph in 5th gear on the highway but as high as it's lifted and stuff, I don't think I would want to push it much past that!

Off road, It preforms extreamly well!

        And...... Welcome to MJR!

Welcome to MJR! Like I always say Jeeps arent made for speed they are made to take you where you wanna go.

          Regearing is a big help.
