  • Took me awhile...

Always meant to come over here to check it out but never quite got around to it... Anyway finally did so and here I am.

Some of you may know me, I'm Sequoia from NAXJA, aka Geoff, aka Some Jerk, I've met a few of you at AAT meetings as well.

Anyway two XJs and no time to use them... I live in Torrance and play around in the desert, mountains, anywhere...

My sometimes daily driver and mild wheeler:
    1996 Jeep XJ
    4.0/AW4/242
    30/35, 3.55:1, Tracklok rear
    2" lift, 30" BFG AT

Trail rig that I never have time to use:
    1989 Jeep XJ
    4.0/AW4/231
    30/44, 4.88:1, ARB/ARB
About 6" lift with TNT-Y Link Longarms, 35" Bighorns

    So.. I'm here.
What kind of madman would have two Jeeps and a KLR650?

        Sigh.

I just realized this site is going to make me waste YEARS in the GPS/Trails forum.

All that wonderful information for my obsessive mapping habit, oh boy!!

You're aging yourself with that sticker. I remember the day they changed format. Welcome to MJR.

I still have a tape of the last 2 hours they were ever on the air.

Edit: I also still have my unfknblvbl KNAC 105.5 T-shirt (The black one with the skull; heh - it doesn't fit anymore, but I still have it)
'96 XJ, HP D30 front, XJ D44 rear, Lockright/E-Locker, 4.56's, Cobra CB, 33" Pro Comp xTreme MT's, SYE, Smittybilt XRC10 winch with Synth Rope, mutt lift.

I've got a little bit of swag still.

The week before they went off the air I wore my old poncho to school every day (I was in the 10th grade). The last day I did the same only had punched a hole in the inside of the big middle pocket and bought a digital tuner walkman just for that day (105.5 was always a pain to tune in the South Bay!). I routed the headphone wires through the shirt and had my hood on concealing the headphones.

Don't know why my geometry teacher didn't make me take my hood down that day but I spend geometry glass listening to the last 40 minutes of KNAC.

I found this online about ten years ago, it's the signoff. Be careful, this file is mixed LOUD.
