  • Hello from Sacramento

    Hi Everyone,
I'm new from Sacramento, just found this forum by accident.
I'm currently about 75% done with a frame off restoration of a '69 CJ5, 2 years into the project.
I also have a '66 CJ5 that is torn down, I used to wheel it around the Sierra (4 times through Rubicon). It is next on the list.
I look forward to making some Southern California runs when I get the Jeep back together, I would love to run the Calico trails. I used to live in Barstow as a kid, I remember going with my Dad through the Doran canyon drive in the '51 Kaiser, this would have been about 1961.
Time to get to work, check in later.

    Don

Welcome to MJR Don! I live about 40 minutes from Calico over in Lucerne Valley if remember where that is. Doran Canyon is probably a lot rougher now than in 1961. But I bet your CJ5 will do just fine. How about posting up some photos of your Jeep!

Welcome to MJR. Looks like it's gonna be a killer CJ-5. Can I have one of those axles?

Its as much fun getting dirty as it is being dirty in a Jeep!
