• From the middle of nowhere...Hello!

Hey all! Name's Josh, have an 09 JK Rubicon out here in Twentynine Palms.

Haven't done too much with the Jeep yet as it's pretty much sucked all the funds just showing up in the driveway. Have managed to get some OME HD coils on it with some shock extenders. Stubbified the front bumper for a bit better approach and relocated the evap kit (before a stray rock could do it for me).

Don't mind traveling a bit to go wheeling and also don't mind getting some minor carnage going. Already tried to relocate my license plate inside (apparently you CAN'T rest the vehicle on that plastic bracket...) as well as knocked off a metal valve stem (rubber all around now...stupid TPMS).

Let me know if anyone has anything going on and doesn't mind me tagging along!

Welcome aboard Josh! I hope to meet you on the trails soon. There are LOTS of great trails within a two hour drive of 29 Palms... So the "Middle of Nowhere" is relative.

Welcome aboard Josh. We'll have to run out to Old Dale together sometime. I owe Mitch (Great 88) a trip out there, eventually.

Lots of great runs going on, and JV season is upon us. So there will be a lot going on.

That's true, there are a ton of great places around here. And being close to JV is a definite plus.

USMC 0369, we'll definitely have to do Old Dale, haven't done that one yet, and it's right down the road.

Looking forward to wheeling with all of you!

But of course! Love showing off the jeep!

Haven't done too much, but getting there little by little. Rubicon is already pretty capable, so kind of just waiting on solid funds for more upgrades. See what I need, what breaks (i.e. really need crusher corners or some kind of protection back there).

Thanks! Ripped the metal valve stem (TPMS..bleh) at 1500 miles and it's been downhill ever since...er...uphill?

Welcome to MJR Josh. Check out the postings for up and coming runs. You'll surely find runs to your liking!

Nick - no trips to Old Dale without me- that's an order. Oh wait, you are a civillian now, no more orders, well except from Sgt Barb.

Sounds like this is a run in the making. Josh and I will have to go recon a route, I'll study up on the history of the area, we'll make a day of it.

More to come.

Yes, the SgtMaj (aka: Barb) still gives me my orders. At least she doesn't bark them at me, and it's mostly fun stuff.

I don't think that was me. Haven't been to the PO on base in a bit, normally the wife goes as I can not be "trusted" to get the mail consistently from the box.
I have seen a few other Jeeps out here that are orange as well, one's a JK and the other was a TJ I think.

There's so many Jeeps on base, sometimes I feel like a stalker when I drive real real slow by 'em!

And I definitely think a trip out to Old Dale is in order! Just give a heads up and I'll be there, need to start seeing what area local are good for some wheeling trips.

LOL, I totally understand the mail thing.

I've just started a new job on base as a contractor, I'll have to see what my shedule is going to look like so we can schedule a trip out to Old Dale.
