Hi, my name is Doug and I've been 4 wheeling for around 35 years now. I recently picked up an 06 TJ and the wife and I are having a great time. After owning 4 early Broncos, 2 Cherokees, countless 4x4 trucks and a Scout, the TJ is my favorite. We don't do the rocks (bad back) but love to go exploring. Hope to make a few friends along the way.

Welcome to MJR. My grandfather had a 69 Bronco and he could go any ware with that truck. Even over extremely rocky terrain he could find the smoothest lines. He had a bad back also and it was painful to hit the rocks. But it made him one hell of a driver. Those left standing

calkid - Welcome to MJR! There's plenty of us in the High Desert that are the "explorer" type. Keep an eye out for a posted run that you would be interested in.SBCO Fire Dept. CERT volunteer

Welcome, Doug. Glad you're not letting that bad back rule you too much. If bouncing in your Jeep hurts your back, the seatbelt might contribute to it. My dad has found wheeling with me much more comfy without the belt. Now I don't encourage anyone to wheel without a seatbelt, but maybe a 4- or 5-point harness would work better for you? Worth a shot.
