  • Hellooooooooo

Glad to have found this site. Hope to find some info & contacts for off road fun.

This is actually my first Jeep (unless you count the one the Army gave me). Got it in Feb '08, and she was CLEAN and about as stock as possible. I needed a 4X4 for work (antenna sites on rainy days) and didn't want a 4X truck as I also work in malls and need to fit in the parking structures.

Stock lead to a lift & tires. That lead to gears & a couple of LSD's. Being alone at work lead to a winch & recovery gear. Somehow when I got my spare tire carrier & bumper, it was air tight and that lead to OBA. Somewhere in the above process, a Blue Ox removable tab baseplate was fabbed and incorporated into a Highrock front bumper. As far as the rockers......well, you know. The above was the progression that took about a year, all justified (ya right). Now the Jeep has gone from a work stocker to something that will allow good weekend fun, and also work.

As it is now, it's like this:
    • Stock 4.0
    • Stock transfer case
    • 4.11's
    • D30 front TrueTrack
    • D35 rear Track lock
    • OME springs & shocks
    • JKS adjustable everything (short arm) with Quicker discos
    • Smitty 8K winch
    • Viair 450C
    • 33X12.5 MTR's
    • JC Fab rear bumper & carriers (cans & hi-lift)
    • JC Fab rockers
    • Highrock 4X4 front bumper

In the "futures" list is a cage, real axles (couldn't justify lockers in the stockers), lockers, better under protection, and off road lights. We'll see where it goes from there.

    Thanks for having me.

Sounds like you have a decent start on your Jeep. Like OU812 said, hopefully you can make it to the Meet & Greet at Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamonga on May 9th.
