  • Hi, new to the site

    Hello all :-)

Just starting to get back into it after a 15 year break. Had to sell the CJ for a bigger vehicle to haul the kids and dogs, and the Suburban put a damper on any real off roading. Anyway, have been working on the new CJ for about 18 months and it’s just about ready for some fun. Looking forward to seeing you all on the trail.

Hey Mark! Welcome from a fellow CJ owner! There's several of us here on MJR. Looks like you're doing a nice job by what I can tell by looking at your avatar.

There's quite a few members in the SD area. So you won't lack for company on local SD runs. Of course they all like to come out my way also, so hopefully we'll see you out here sometime!

Hey there! Welcome aboard! El Cajon puts you close to the Bronco Peak area. Maybe you could post up a run when you are ready to take the CJ out to play...

I hope to see you on the trails soon.

                  Thanks everyone

I guess I picked a bad picture for the avatar. The thing is actually together and running as my daily driver. Lots of fun to drive but a bit rough on the wallet, only gets 16 MPG (10 highway, 6 off road), but that's still a lot better than the suburban. Still missing the most important item for real off roading - a rear attach point. Pretty much guaranted to get stuck without it, kind of like a winch except more critical.
