  • Not so new, but new Jeep to show!

Been a observer here on MJR for a while now, carefully taking notes and learning what we can. My wife loves Jeeps and after a long delay,we finally satisfied her craving!

    2005 Rubicon Unlimited (long wheelbase)
    • Hansen Front and Rear bumpers
    • Hansen rear tire carrier and cargo rack with hilift, axe mount, etc…
    • Warn XPi9000 winch
    • IPF lights
    • Rubicon Express TummyTuck kit
    • Currie 4” suspension lift
    • 1” body lift
    • 35" ProComp XTerrian tires
    • Currie Anti-Rock pneumatic swaybar/disconnect system
    • Viair 450c compressor with 2 gallon tank and air hose fittings front and rear of the truck
    • Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, sub, and iPod integrated Alpine head unit.

We look forward to wheeling with you all. When's the next trip? We need some training on this rig, it's way different than my Land Rover LR3!

    Regards,

    Nathan & Marni Woods

Nice Rubi . . . but how does it feel to drive your LR now . . . it's gotta be a bit imasculating parking the LR next to that thing!!!
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

Very Nice. I just picked up my 05 Unlimited too. Not a Rubi though.

I am in Yorba Linda as well. We should hook up on a trail run. By the looks of the pictures it looks like Village Center/Travis area? I am over by Bryant Ranch.

Howdy neighbor! That photo is near East lake, but I live near the Nixon Library. I have a ton of things scheduled this May, but we are very up for some runs in the last week of May and into June.

Great, I am still a newbie to jeep wheeling as is another good friend of mine with an 06 Unlimited that lives in YL too. Maybe we can hook up on an easy trail run some time and you can edumacate us on the wheeling thing. We glamis and desert motorcycle people but are excited about some new offroad activities.

You're right down yonder from me. There's a place a few miles down the road called Santiago Creek Road. It's a very mild truck trail with some mild technical offshoots. It's got shallow water crossings, off-camber situations, steep but short obstacles. It's great practice if you want to get your feet wet with the new Jeep. Whenever I go there, I usually leave it in its street trim... full air pressure, sway bar connected, track bar in place.

I am going to give this a try once I get some free time. My boys athletics schedules are killing my weekends right now. Thanks for the tip
