    Just checking all of the wheelin sites.
    My name is Jake and I have a 97TJ that is somewhat close to stock.

    Rear axle= Ford 8.8
    Front axle= Dana30 (building a Dana44)
    Gears= 3.73
    Transfer= Stock (soon to be 4:1 Terra)
    Tires= BFG A/T KO 31's
    Lift= 2.5" RE

    Sway bar QD's up front (none in the rear)

    It really is a budget build and will take me some years to do it but I guess all Jeep owners know that its always a WIP.

    Have a great Holiday

      Welcome Jake!

      There are great folks here! Be sure to ask them your questions there are some really smart guys & glals that can answer your questions. I am well aware of building a jeep on a budget! That's what I'm doing...

        The 8.8 cost me less than $1000 complete with installation. My final build will be a Dana 44 up front w/ARB, 35" tires, 4.56 gears and an ARB in the rear. I am going to call it my 5 year plan.

            A jeep is sorta like a four wheeled Harley. There is always something else you can modify or another aftermarket part to add. The difference is that adding to your Jeep expands your horizons, adding to your Harley only shrinks your wallet!

            Enjoy the ride and the evolution!

              Jeeps are always an on going project. If I ever get to point that I feel that I'm done I might sell it and start a new one.:smile:
