    Barstow Poker Run

    I'm sure some of you are already aware of this event but I thought I would post it for those that aren’t. This is a great event that helps some great kids. Fun for the whole family. The actual run is easy but there are some other areas that are a little more challenging if you so desire. Also for you Geocache hunters there a quite a few caches in this area that makes for a great trail run.

        Basically you pay an entry fee and you drive or ride on a predetermined route (25 mile for this one). Along the route there are 5 checkpoints. At each checkpoint you draw a poker card and at the end of the run whoever has the best poker hand wins. This group has lots of sponsors that donate the prizes. If I remember correctly the 12 top hands win. They also have a raffle with all sorts of nice prizes. Last year I won an Ozark Trail 6-person family tent.

          It sounds really cool, wish I could make it. Still awaiting carb kit to show up at the house. Hope everyone has a great and safe time.

                It might, but I've already paid for the MC2100 kit to hopefully fix most of my problems. MPG being the biggest. I DO appreciate the offer and this reinforces my love of this website because of it's people.
