The InciWeb has posted the following summary about the Butler Fire:
This 85 acre fire started near Hwy 18 between Snow Valley and Big Bear Dam about 12:30 pm on Sept. 1 and is now fully contained. Highway 18 between Snow Valley Ski Area and the Big Bear Dam will re-open Tuesday September 4 at 7 pm. Forest Roads 2N13 and 2N13C, Butler Peak Lookout, and Gray's Peak Group Campground and Yellow Post campsites in the area will remain closed until further notice.
