    Big Bear
    Aug. 5th.
Meet at Discovery Center on the North East side of the Lake at 8:30am or hit me up so that we can carpool.
Bring a lunch, we will stop somewhere on the trail and eat.

This will pretty much be an all day thing. We will start out with Gold Mountain, then hit John Bull, then hit Holcomb Creek/Robin's Trail, then hit Dishpan/Deep Creek.

Please rsvp so that I know who to wait for at the discovery center

Please have a cb, we will be on channel 33 to start.

Don't chicken out on me either.......this will be a really fun day and I want everyone there!

BTW, these are some pretty narly trails so not for the weak at heart. But I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone. I don't have lockers but I still do these trails. There will be enough of us to spot you out of any situation if need be. We have plenty of tow rope and there's at least one winch going (way to represent Jeff)

And, he just stated he does not have lockers. I am thinking about going but dont wanna wait all day and night (just kidding) to do those trails.

Yepp, I agree, its a full day, about 7 or 8 hours trail time(if not more) for a few WELL SET UP RIGS with drivers that know whats up with no breakage...????

I encourage anyone to go. We may skip out on gold mountain. I have to talk to my buddy about that. gold mountain is too easy for me and I really only want to do deep creek (I haven't done that one yet). John Bull and holcomb i've done.

Not much of a rig yet (2inch lift, 31" mtrs, and quicker disconnects) but it is still a jeep. Yes I'm slower than peeps with lockers but at least i'm out there doing it.

              Just a thought...

If you haven't done Dishpan before, you might want to consider starting there. It is easily accessed from the paved streets in Lake Arrowhead. For your first go at it, the uphill run might be more enjoyable. There is a good meeting point at the intersection of Hooks Creek road and the 173.

thanks for that guys. I'll probably do that next time but for this go around plans are already in place and in motion with about 6 other rigs going as well.

even that's a pretty heavy day of wheeling, without breakage or much holdup through the obstacles...
                        03 TJ. It'll go 65mph...can't complain.

so what is the plan? the thread is meandering between starting at gold mtn, john bull, or dishpan...??

just want to make sure no one is confused.

lol...., I agree Matt, after a while you can spot em comin. If there was any way I could go. I would still start at D.P.with a few jeeps and meet the others going the other way, they would probably still be at J.B.
However, the roughest day wheeln (with no accidents) is still better than the worse day workin.
