  • Barney Riley Trail

I signed up for a run with the Rubicon 4wheel drive association to do the Barney Riley trail in the Toiyabe National Forest. All five of us, all Rubicons, met at the Wolf Creek restaurant at 8:30am Saturday morning, had a good breakfast and left for the trail at 10am. Once there we aired down and disconnected. The first challenge we got to was a steep hill with loose rock

    Here goes the trail boss

we camped right next to the river, awesome spot!

    on our way out

I had a great time on this trail, thanks to all the fine folks from the Rubicon 4wheel Dr Association. If you ever find your way near Markleeville this trail is a fun, must do!

Sweet pics! We drive right through Markleeville on the way to the Rubicon/Tahoe. That's a beautiful area. We'll have to check it out one day.

Nice area. Nice report, thanks. Last year we did the Monitor Pass on Motorcycles and found ourselves in Markleeville, then we blinked.
