Mat’s red TJ, Doug’s (FishPOET) black XJ and Wayne’s (Old School K5) khaki TJ in camp:
Fixed it for ya!
Thanks Russ and Doug for the spotting to get us stockers (and everybody else who needed it) through that rough trail (for a stock Jeep)! Russ, once again you've done a great job leading, keeping track of everybody and making sure nobody had any REAL damage (breakage on the trail). I'll be sending you the bill for my new gas tank skid. If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?
We had a great time. Always good to see friends and make new ones. A huge thanks to our trail leader Russ, that was a great run. Mike sorry about the bumperette (note to self: use park brake). Doug thanks for the photos, I took my cameras but never took them out. And last but not least thanks to those (you know who you are) for making this happen and continue to happen. Life stories in the making, very cool.
Had a great time. Met some new faces, reunited with some favorites, ran over a few rocks. The event was great, and the trails really cool. that was the first time I've actually wheeled at Calico. It won't be the last. Didn't run Gatekeeper, the carnage was over the top. BUT, I will go do it. Can't let Kevin get away with that one
Pictures are at Photobucket, but I have a lot more to upload. The wireless connection here in Las Vegas is sucking, so I'll get them up as soon as I can. Enjoy what I've uploaded so far.
Oh Yeah! Good times! I'm REALLY sad that I couldn't make it. I can't show these pics to Mr. Green: he'll cry. He had cosmetic surgery this weekend (new custom tube fenders!)
Hey Bob, looks like Joy did some driving?
Taking your advise. Its working.

I can't believe that guy went under that XJ...especially after seeing the red rubi suddenly fall into that very hole! Also, 'bout time for a new recovery strap!!
