Dont mean to hijack, but I drove past that rover group you had over in Cleghorn 3/25 (i was in my Jeep). Along with my Jeep, I also have two rovers, an LR3 & disco1, both are stock. Ive been a member with discoweb.org for a few years, but never really participated in any group events...actually, I dont think they ever had any!

Anyways, I just joined LRRForums, I would really like to participate in this Death Valley run!....But, can i bring my Jeep? Or is it LR only?

The majority of our SCLR trips, your Jeep is quite welcome, but Rover Rendezvous is special and is preferred to be Rovers only. Your LR3 will kick butt out there - ever had it off road yet? It's the best off roading vehicle Land Rover has ever made (in stock form). It completely changes all the trail ratings, and makes them obsolete. It's only drawback is ground clearance, so things like the Gatekeeper at Calico may never be possible, but the rest of the trail is fine!

My son and I were at Racetrack last October, go caught in that huge rainstorm, snapped two tent poles, got soaked. Of course, we are ready to go back.

We wanted to do Echo and see the Eye of the Needle too, but there just wasn't enough time to do it all. All the more reason to go back! We should do an MJR run in the Fall!

Okay, when I CB'd you guys that I found a bed for Jake, I never realized that you actually stopped at the spot. You caught up fast before we reached the bottom! I love this photo!

I have stolen others from your post as well. Thanks for sharing!
