I know you guys went to TDS so let's get a thread going with discussion and pics. As most know the location was moved about 20 miles south. The terrain is similiar, but a lot less to play on. The TDS club did a great job getting this event pulled off this year, but I hope we can be back at Truckhaven in the very near future. Ocotillo Wells is more of a quad/bike area and these clowns proved to be annoying on many occasions. They are a different breed (and seemingly lacking intelligence). The raffle was outstanding as usual. My dad won for a third time, this time winning an OX locker and installation in any Jeep application by Offroad Evolution. He doesn't need it and will likely be taking offers. It's a value of $1300 and I think he's looking to get around $700 for it. PM me if you are interested. The trails were ok with some considerable distance between some of the challenges (boy I missed Truckhaven!). The weather was beautiful and all in all had an enjoyable weekend. Here's of pic of a rock garden north of blow sand hill:

This was my first time at TDS and had an outrageously great time. There were some awesome rigs there. A couple of the guys I was with had registered for the trip but i did not, yet we did the trail later in the day before they pulled the stakes. There were some fun spots on the trail. The atvs were pains in the asses but the trip was worth it and cant wait to go again next year. Next year I hope to see the "Notches", had heard a lot about that part. Also have an awesome video of a jeep crawling the mountain(the only one that made it on Saturday, according to the offical there) but i cant figure out how to load it on my computer.

Next time register for the event. The $$ goes to keeping our lands open. You also miss the opportunity to participate in the drawing (and they have killer prize packages). Your $40 (or $60 for late registration I think) could have won you a prize valued between $1000 and $5000. My dad won for the third time this weekend...

                By the way, howdy neighbor...

For those who missed the event we had 1350 registered participants and x number of free loaders. Plenty of vendors with goodies for sale and about $80,000 in prizes for the Sat. evening raffle (one ticket per registration). Here are some photos from the event. About 180 of them.
