They have always patrolled up there. In the 5 years that I was active with the volunteer program I never heard of anyone getting a ticket for using existing bypasses on Cleghorn, or for that matter anywhere in the SBNF. Anyone caught burning in a new bypass will be ticketed. The volunteers spent many hours blocking and slashing illegal bypasses all over the forest, but the bypasses on Baldy Mesa (which are now signed as useable routes, unfortunately for us Jeepers they are 50" routes) and Cleghorn were always were always accepted as routes. I have been out of the loop for a couple of months now, maybe Jeff can chime in with current info if it has changed.

Doug is still correct - AFIK we have no closures on Cleghorn.

I'm gonna try to make it. Looking at installing a RE 4.5" lift abd SYE/VC after the Nightmare/ Last Chance run last week. If I'm ready by then this would be a good shakedown run.

Certainly. If you don't take any of the fire breaks, 2N47 is a green trail. Now I wouldn't take a Honda Accord on it (but then I wouldn't ever own one anyway)

Yeah, a Honda. It was after dark as I was going down to the 15. I passed a couple parked in the trail in an Accord. I don't think they were there for the mountain views! :tongue:

Are you sure that Cleghorn is the trail that Stuart "earned his wings"? I thought he did that on the Silverwood Fuelbreak (2N17X) coming up from the Silverwood Dam.

100% stock. If you are not comfortable with the look of a side trail, then you can take the main road around to the next one. The firebreak road criss-crosses the trail the whole way.

We were going up Cleg to Holcome and onto Dishpan.We have pics posted some where in here its called (going back) If one of our most wonderful moderators could link it you would be a hero!!!!

yep cleghorn i was in the front, we did cleghorn, dishpan and holcomb, that was a fun day.//Kevin
