  • Nate Harrison Grade, Monday!

Taking a couple new guys from JF up to Nate Harrison tom, anyone interested?

Meet at the school at 11.

Here are directions off a bike website, I reckon we'll meet at the school like it says.

Take I-15 to the 78 East. Follow the 78 east through Escondido (a bunch of turns) for about 2.8 miles. At Valley Center Road (there's a Circle-K at the corner) turn left on Valley Center Road and go 9.4 miles to Cole Grade Road. Make a left onto Cole Grade Road and go 7.5 miles and pull into the Pauma Valley School on the left. If you get to the 76 you've missed it, go back 1/2 mile.

If you need it, here's my cell: 540.798.1434

Nate Harrison is really just a dirt road that goes from the 76 up to the Palomar state park . I seriously don't know of any real trails off the dirt road, cause I have been up and down that sucker a few times with my DRZ400. A better place to visit would be lawrence welk IMHO. Another place that is fun is the riverbed about a mile past the Pala Casino on the 76.

It's pretty bad, unless it's been raining or snowing, its just a dirt road with some rutts.

Anyone been in Lost Valley just NE of McCain Valley? It's the west end of In-Ko-Pah Mountains. My TOPOS shows a bunch of 4WD trails in ther area.

Rat, Nate was one of Vern's bunny trails. Not much of a challenge, you could do it in a Civic. Really nice views up there though.

Those poor bastards in Pauma Valley and their citrus crops are taking a beating right now with the cold.

                          Bunny Rabbit trails??

There is a trail in the west end which goes above the R&R tracks. Its a really tight switch back trail which will require you to go forward then reverse...a slight cough and your toast.

Very entertaining certainly a pucker moment or 2
