At Desert Safari 2006, 1551 participating vehicles were registered with an estimated overall attendance of over 16,000 people.

Currently, the Desert Safari is one of three major events held in the region. In addition to the major off-highway recreation events, the area is a popular destination from October through April for OHV recreationists from throughout southern California and Arizona. On any given weekend, visitation can exceed 500 vehicles and over 2,000 people. On holiday weekends, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas-New Years, visitation can exceed 5,000 recreationists.

            Tds

TDS will always be packed. Check this pic. George is an original TDS member. Today in MX he backed into an exploding cacti! Stuck all over is jeep butt!

Sort of reminds me of Erik.

Its about 2 hours. I live in Escondido, which is just west and over the hills from Truckhaven. Hmmm looks longer for you in Santa Clarita.
Joy is trying to talk me out of going. We are going on vacation on the 8th to Placerville...... so I may have to back out even though I brought it up.
While I am on a roll here, I was schemeing to do some jeepn on the way back in Death Valley on the 12th, 13th.

Wife and I are doing something. I'm not certain what exactly... but she mentioned a gown...

Besides, I need to put the springs on that I just got from Dan, see how much they sag, and create a parts list of the items I'll need to do it right... Then present the list to the Board of Directors for funding.

                    Truckhaven

If you camp on the bluffs (need to secure a site early) and stay west of where the Safari HQtrs is usually set up you shouldn't be too crowded. If you go to the end of N.Marina you will find that area packed.
