  • We found the Pontiac!

We Found the Pontiac! Thanks to all those that gave us advice.
The run was good but it was not as challenging as other runs in the Big Bear area. It is a fun run with friends, and it was especially fun with a new Jeep owner on his first real outing.

I had a fuel line break on me on the trail. Nothing like climbing a 30 degree trail and find out that your fuel line is bad! Luckily I had a fuel tank specialist on the trail with us (AeroTanks, Corona, CA) who had repair equipment. We were back in motion within 30 minutes.

The following photos are from the trail starting with my broken fuel line...

Outstanding. My favorite pic is the "Dee with air" shot. Hunkered down in the seat trying to hold jeep down. Precious.
Good trail pics! Russ got on nothing on you.
    Except maybe more pics.
    Well done, thanks for sharing....cool.

Man, I wish I could have made it up with you guys! Looks like fun! Do you know how the fuel line broke? Is there a repair kit or something that would be a good item to add to the trail bag of goodies?
If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

The fuel line was just fatigued. I recently changed out the gas tank to a larger (and better armored) tank and then afterward replaced the fuel pump. I noticed the line looked odd when I replaced the pump. Lesson learned: Peventative maintenance!

Some spare fuel hose and clamps to fit are going to be a part of my kit from now on though.

I wish that you could have gone Mat. It was a good time.

It's one of my favorites too! We made Dee stop so we could take photos and the whole time she kept asking, "Can I go now?" over and over again. She did a great job completing the line. She came down smooth and easy.
