Nick, I've never been wheeling in Texas, but here is a link to a list of Texas wheeling sites. http://4wheeldrive.about.com/od/texastrails/ Unfortunately, none of these sites are near Pasadena, TX, which reminds me of the story of the Texan who was boasting that he could "get into his rig, drive all day and all night and still be in the State of Texas", and the guy he was talking to replied "yeah, I used to have a broken down rig like that, too."

Also, check out the National Forests in Texas. It appears that Angelina, Davy Crockett and Sabine National Forests allow off road vehicles in some areas. Here's a link: http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/texas/recrea...g_dc_sab.shtml
