I have one free weekend before the end of the year, so I'm spending it in a appropriate place.

At the point, it will be me in my TJ and a CJ-8 on 35's.

The last time I was through this trail, it was pretty easy. A stock jeep with a *experienced* driver would be fine. Rocker protection would be a good thing...but not required. Same for a locker or two. All the hard stuff can be bypassed.

Not sure what time yet, but we will start at the Price Rd turnoff, head up the Box, probably stop for lunch at the top of the Martinez loop, and come back out the box in the early afternoon.

    Hey GT,

That's the weekend of Trail Dust Days, so I won't be able to make it.

I had some friends go round the Loop a couple of weeks ago and they said that the summer rains had made the trail significantly harder, yay. I'm sure you'll be fine but 33s and lockers are required, apparently.

If that is true, the trail has sustained a LOT of damage. I've led stock tacoma's through there with little difficulty. "33's and lockers are required" puts it right up there with Hiway to Hell.

      Not that I'm complaining.....:whip:

Uh...yea. I'm not sure. When it came time to head north, I wussed out on the drive, and made a right at Golder Ranch Rd instead....

Yup. Besides, I had some other stuff that I had to do in the afternoon....Martinez would have made it a LATE night....next time (maybe).
