Just a little bit of info for you all
Some friends and I went to Calico this weekend had A great time , but As you start up the trail passed gate keeper just thru the first set of canyon walls there is a big friggin boulder in the middle of the trail , you are able to go around on the right but it banks and outs the drivers side door right on another set of boulders. Just for your info .
Other than that we had a great time did the whole loop and then half way around again backwards . it was a great day for jeeping .

Hrmmmnnn...that sounds like an interesting placement for a boulder....how in the world do you think it got there??

I believe that the boluder was washed down with alot of rain , it is a pretty good size boulder probalbey about 4 foot in dia. and about 5 foot tall .
It is about 1/4 mile passed the entrance after gatekeeper /or the bypass route , it could probabley be moved with enough winchs and straps but there is not a real good place to relocate it .
There had to be a lot of rain go thru this area , you are able to see alot of material come off the hill with the run off of rain
