If you have not been to this, you really should go. The trails are easy to extreme. My favorite is Isham Canyon. Lots of good sight seeing and history.

          Panamint Valley Days 2006

Anyone going to the Panamint Valley Days? Tom & I will be there, but it will be our last California run. We are moving to the great state of Texas. Hope to see some MJRs up there.

I plan to get there Thursday afternoon and leave early Sunday morning (I have to fly back east on Sunday afternoon). I'd like to run South Park/Pleasant Canyon on Saturday; I haven't decided what to run on Friday.
If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!

              Russ:

It looks like I won't get there untill friday. I will probably meet Kirk in Mojave and then run into PVD. I'll look for your "palm tree". Try to camp somewhere near where we were last year. See you there.

I plan to get there Thursday afternoon, hopefully before dark. I plan to set up camp about 1/4 mile west of the registration area

I've never gone to Panamint. Do you have to have a winch to do these runs? Or is there another way up without one, Kevin.

PVD has a large selection of runs from easy, scenic SUV runs to extreme runs for built rigs. Isham Canyon is the most difficult run and is the only run where lockers and winch are required equipment. Here's a link to photos from last year's Isham Canyon run: Isham Canyon, November 12, 2005
