  • Swamp Lake Route Run

I am going to run Swamp Lake Route on June 30 thru July 2. This is for those that want to get away before the 4th of July. Please post up if you interested and once the date gets closer I'll post details.

    Thanks,

last year swamp lake opened 4th of july weekend. They got record snowfall this year and I don't theres any way it will be open by then... But I could be wrong. I'm 12000 miles from the trail!
It's not what you have. it's what you do with what you have.

Your correct the snow fall was heavy this year and the trail will probably be open later on if July or maybe August. I will certainly find out if other trails in the area will be open.

Thanks for the pics. The area looks alot like Dusy Ershim. I could have been seeing things, but was that a blue FJ in one of those shots? Damm...I just realized that we're coming back from the Rubicon the last week of the month.

Yeah but the picture has two FJ 40's a red and a blue. The run will have to happen later on in July or August because there is still alot of snow. If you wanted to join us then that be great, keep tuned in.

Yeah Dusy is right above swamp the only difference is the swamp is about 13 mile and Dusy is about 33 miles. Other then that I think it's the same mountain range.

Here is a link for tracking when the trails open around shaver and Bald Mountain.

Bald is the only one that is currently open.
No word on Swamp, or Ducy or any of the other trails in the area.

We hope that Swamp and Ducy open soon. We want to put our lifted Rubi through both of those this year.

Fresno 4x4 Club is the one who will be cleaning up the falling trees etc. TDS has been in contact with them, They don't expect to get in there to late in the summer.
