Assuming I don't brake either myself of my jeep in Colorado.....Anyone interested in a early morning run on the 4th of July?
I'm thinking of something like Upper Ajax...short and fun. Leave the staging area on the BLM side of the fence at 6:30-ish, without any problems, we'll be back on the road by 9:30am. Plenty of time to get home and fire up the BBQ's with the family (or open the cooler full of beer with the rest of the single guys).
This is one of my favorite trails. Difficult enough to keep you on your toes, easy enough that you can (usually) make good time (important in the summer).
Not really stock jeep friendly (unless it's a rubicon). You'll want (at a minimum) the normal skid plates, at least one locker, good tires, recovery points at each end...all the standard stuff.
