      Devils canyon.

There were times I wish I had 35's. Lots of banging and scraping. Had a great time. Trail lived up to it's name. The Devil made me do it.

It was a hard run because of the recent rains. It snowed on us on the way to the desert. Go figure

Great shots Steve. I tell you the friggen rock wall after the first time when I about ended up on my head gives me a real pucker. Being wet was even worse. Good thing it dried out a bit before we went up.

                Road crew

The road crew did a terrific job. I"m up for another run. Will need to check out the undercarriage to make sure everything is still intact.

Lets thank the original road crew Mr Ralph Stineman. It was his early pictures which lead me to hunt this trail down.

He's the one on the left of this picture in his 1910 Bush Runabout

Steve has actually uncovered early survey station markers for this trail. Though its only on paper we are going to go and find the brass spikes. Through the descriptions I found one of the stone ruins on an earlier exploration.

                    Survey notes:

                    FOLLOW THIS ROAD,

                    Heres the building ruins

This trail just gets more exciting everyday!

Trail runs through Imperial and San Diego county.
We actually finished the upper trail yesterday and both jeeps got damaged. Pictures of the final section will be posted through the week
