  • Trail Discussion: Searching for a trail..... Backdoor into Coyote Flats

    A long time ago I read about a seldom used trail that starts somewhere along the 395 and climbs up into the Sierra's, ending at the south end of Coyote Flats. Not coincidentally, about 10 years ago I was camping at the south end of Coyote Flats, and in the middle of the night, a crew of noisy Jeeps came rip roaring up some trail that was completely unnoticed by my group until those Jeeps came through. I suspect that this is the same elusive trail I've been looking for.

    Has anyone ever run this trail? How about since the fires of 2007?
