So I really didn't have anything that I had to do today so I thought I would go for a Jeep run/hike/exploring adventure. it was a clear and warm beautiful day! Probably about 60F and you could see forever.
I went to the hills to the east of me, they were formed by the Helendale fault.
I checked out a cool spring with an amazing amount of water flowing out of it. It was protected by chain link fencing. Someone had a pipe running from it to their property. Lots of beautiful cotton wood trees surrounded the spring.
On a ridge top tail I parked and went for a couple short hikes just sorta picking around the rocks and enjoying the panoramic views.
It was a nice quiet get away, even if for only a few hours. Oh and I never saw another soul, just some fresh wild burro poop.
