Diamond Springs Road is on the Hualapai Indian Reservation and runs 22 miles from Peach Springs Arizona down to the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.
Brad, Pam, Linda and myself met at the Hualapai Lodge on Saturday morning December 27, 2014 and picked up our permits. Our permits were checked by rangers twice during our two day stay. If you go, make sure to get your permits.
Driving down Diamond Springs Road on the way in to the Grand Canyon
Diamond Peak in the distance on the way in
The last 2 miles Diamond Creek runs down the road
Camp on the Colorado River
Rafters on the Colorado River
Weather was in the mid 60s on Saturday, mid 50s on Sunday and the overnight low got down to 36°
Most of the raft trips that put in at Lee's Ferry pull out at this spot. It gets very busy on pull out days and any weekend during the spring.
