This is on my Bucket List too. The trail is open by permit only. The BLM manages the trail. I tried to get access last year at Thanksgiving, but the BLM never answered my email or phone call.

'Britain' has ran the trail several times. He may know how to get the proper permit. The size of the group is pretty limited from what I understand. Count me in if you get access please!

The liability insurance may take a little work. And with the 180 days lead time it my be next year. (only 7 permits a year)

          Thanks Russ for the link.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Ran it before all the crap ensued. Very fun trail.

TDS folks ran it last week in a bunch of buggies. All I can say the insurance requirments $$$ keeps most everyone out.

Ok would you pay 35.00 to run this trail? It would be better to do a 2 day meet.

Good luck with the permit. If you get it be sure your group is prepared to break something and fix it. To many people under estimate this short trail.

Lots of blown up granite and sand.
