Fall time Hammertime.
Headed out to the Hammers for a weekend of wheelin.
Yesterday we attempted to tackle SOS, funnest trail we did to date even though we could not finish the last 300 feet or so. We tried for over an hour. So after some adventurous maneuvering and a busted winch cable we where headed back where we came from. Going down was exciting to say the least It has one turn/ climb that when you hit it wrong you roll atleast few times, going down that thing was pucker times 10.
After getting lined up right it was a very quick steep 20 feet slide down, brakes wouldn't hold, nearly vertical, fun stuff. We both made it down rather quickly to say the least. The rest of the decent, was tough, but not as adventurous or exciting as a few previous parts of the trail.

Today we met up with some other people headed out to Lower Big Johnson as a warm up then the group split up.\
Five Jeeps headed out to Clawhammer, 4 of us continued up upper Big Johnson, never done thast one before was a fun , short trail.
After that Fred and me headed to Aftershock, knocked that one out of the park. Went back to the motorhome picked up Fred's wife and did Sledgehammer, had gotten a little more exciting. Things got a bit interesting at the plaque. Fred had a heck of a time trying to climb that ledge. He had me try it and for once I made it look easy. Fred's turn again and no way, no how, so added a few rocks and up he went. Started the day at 9.30, got back to the motorhome for the final time at 1.30pm, loaded the Jeeps up and we were homeward bound
