  • Trail Report: MK Cougar Buttes Fun Run - Report

The event was totally cool, couldn't have asked for anything better.

I want to thank everyone who came out and thank you for all the uplifting and encouraging comments about the event and the trails.

It's been a real blessing to lead the trail runs and see everyone having a great time and enjoying each others friendship.

It was nice to connect all the forum names with real faces - some for the first time.

I had a great time and the weather and camping was awesome and the trail "runs" worked out great as well.

The group started out with 40 or so and ended up in about 3 groups and we all met up doing Hammerdown for the closing trail.

I think we all got some new scratches and dents to remember the event by. Hope next year turns out as good - Curtis is wanting to raise the bar next year - not sure if it can go too much higher.

Looking forward to the pix and other posts.

Art's comment - don't those headlights look verticle instead of horizontal, turned out to be right.

Waiting for Ron to post pics of Freddy doing his thang, that was a pretty good save.
By the way for the advanced driver thingy, Georgie's crack would make a fun lil obstacle

Mike, I've whole-heartedly enjoyed your trail runs over the past few years. Your unerring spotting has made it possible for many of us to tackle the seemingly impossible obstacles! I'm still high on the adrenaline rush from yesterday.

Just finished a vid of the advanced group on Grinder:

And, I want to thank the board for giving us FJ Cruisers the consolation prizes! I was already really happy to have finished Hammerdown unscathed, but that put it over the top. Thanks gentlemen, it means a lot!

I had a blast, thanks Mike, Ron, Ron and Curtis for putting this together. Great to see old acquaintances and make new ones.

This video is at the first challenge, started off easy, but things got much more interesting later on.

Great videos and photos. The grinder course makes me want to do more mods but nice driving guys. I got to leave some more red paint on the rocks. Thanks again for the great weekend. It was really fun.
