  • Trail Report: Dishpan / John Bull Action

The action on the Dishpan Springs and John Bull trails was non stop all day. If the action wasn't In our group, it was in someone else's.

The mountain was very crowded all day, but it didn't seem to be a problem - our group moved along pretty fast all day.

If we weren't pulling a winch line or grabbing someone's bumper to keep the from going over, then we were enjoying the dust.

The trails seemed to be tougher than normal and it was great. I had an awesome day today as well as everyone else. Would like to do another BB run sometime soon. Got to have more of that mountain dust. The inside of Bobby's FJ looked like he just came back from Operation "Desert Storm" You couldn't even read the dash panel.

I don't think anyone broke anything, but the black Toyota pick-up ended up with a noticeable dent under the drivers side door, and Fred's Jeep was complaining about the heat. Fun Day!!!

Awesome shots! Looks like a blast. I'm thankful of how active you all are out there, it keeps me somewhat sane between trips out. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak a day in later this month when my sister-in-law has the new baby.

Fred since you got new shoes, does that mean you have some hand me downs ?
You can lead a horse to water, but it might drown

Assuming left is looking up at the waterfall, the hole was pretty dug out, but someone threw a big rock in there. I made it up that line two weeks ago and the jeeps behind me had little issues. Just a little slick as always.

I dont think the big waterfall is safe anymore. Once you crest it there is no where stable to go. A few years ago I did it but the main line(middle line) up ball buster was not as low and you could drop into it fairly safely. Buggy line now??

I would always start on the left and go right at the top. But if you had to back off it is where most people got in trouble in that hole at the bottom.
