    Rhyolie and Titus Canyon

Heading down into Beatty NV for gas:

In Rhyolite, no one was having any fun.

When you put a big naked Lego lady in the middle of the desert, this kind of stuff is bound to happen.

Group shot at the Last Supper

And we’re off to colorful Titus Canyon

A stop at Leadfield mine for lunch

The walls in this canyon are just amazing.

After emerging from the canyon you get these views across the valley floor to Stovepipe Wells.

      fast track to Crankshaft Junction

A short video of another fast section. This time up Death Valley Rd from Scotty’s Castle area to Crankshaft Junction.

We thought we might camp at this mine site, but decided to keep going.

        Eureka Dunes

Coming into Eureka Dunes, that’s Doug’s cloud up ahead. We had a feast for dinner.

Waldo’s stuff is so new and shiny, it was just begging to have its picture taken. Give it time …

Sand – ugh – I hate sand. But the TJ did great, so maybe I’ll go practice getting it stuck somewhere.

Steel Pass to Saline Valley to North Pass

Doug let Waldo spot him through Dedeckera Canyon, that’s a pretty great way to teach a newbie the ropes. When he dinged his already injured door panel, he told him “That’s the kind of stuff you have to look out for.” Yup.

Scott spotted himself, ha! No problem.

Peekaboo view from Steel Pass before the turn

          Marble Bath

First views into Saline Valley below.

          Upper Springs:

          Our camp in lower springs:

          Shade in the Tank Area:

Behind the Wizard Pool in middle springs is THE best shower!

I want this thing in my yard. I think I took a 30 minute shower … just cause I could.

Some changes at lower springs since I was last there. Water flows out of this hole to creat a lush new camping area behind Lizard Lee’s place.

As the sun went down, the wind kicked up like crazy and we had dust storms. That’s pretty common here.

Me & Itzia’s shadows near sunset

Itzia sharing the “man in the pink bathrobe story” from a previous trip.

Group shot at the bat sign before leaving Saline Valley.

          Heading out on N Pass:

A view of the Sierras over Big Pine, and back to civilization.

We all had a blast and can't wait to go back!

Thanks to Doug for putting together another epic trip, and all the crazy characters for making it so memorable.

Awesome pics and a great trip! You guys covered some serious ground!
Did the fence around the upper hot springs get put back? It was missing the last time that I was there.

Cool! I'd hate for the donkeys to spoil such a cool spot.
