You can't see the thread on expedition portal unless you are registered.
Can you share the details with us so that those interested can RSVP from here?

For those that don't know, Dennis Casebier is, literally, the guy that wrote "the book" on the Mojave Road.
Google "Mojave Road Guide - An Adventure Through Time" by Dennis G. Casebier if you are curious.

Sorry, didn't know that was one of the private threads. Here is the content of the post on ExPo:

Dennis Casebier will be giving a Powerpoint presentation on the Mojave Road "From Indian footpath to four-wheel drive recreation trail" on Thursday, Feburary 28, 2013 at 7:00p.m.

The presentation will be at the Victor Valley Museum 11873 Apple Valley Road., Apple Valley, CA 92308. The museum is on Apple Valley Road a long block south of Bear Valley Road.

This event is being presented by Victor Valley's Mohahve Historical Society. Copies of The Mojave Road Guide will be available for purchase, or bring your old, dog eared and dirty copy to be signed!

No RSVP needed but it would be nice if you are intending on coming to post it here so we can be sure to have sufficient seating. No charge for this event.

Yes sir. It used to be the southern most option of the Spanish Trail for crossing the southwest.

I think that the best time to run the Mojave is in the late spring. The trail is at an elevation of 3000 to 4000 feet so the nights can get pretty cold. The desert is lit up with flowers from late April through May.
