Trail Discussion: Holcomb trail... sorta... Thread

Went to do AAT work this morning on Holcomb. Not much to report on the work side but I FINALLY, after 10 years of believing that rattlesnakes do not exist on Holcomb Trail, I actually see two of them... and a ton of trout in the creek. No pictures of the fish so that never happened, but...

Gorgeous day in the mountains. Perfect weather and perfect surroundings. Wish ya'll coulda been there. Lots of thanks from the folks there for Forest Fest. They are enjoying our hard work on Holcomb.

Funny you mention not seeing the snakes. When I lived in Phoenix Arizona I would do alot of hiking out in the desert. The whole 3 years I was there I never saw a single live snake or scorpion. Saw several dead ones, but never live ones. How strange is that!?

Not a sound. She was as docile as that Mojave Green at Kelbaker dunes. No strikes, no rattles.
