  • Trail Run: Achy-Breaky 2/18/12

I'm planning on running the Achy-Breaky trail (as shown in Charles Wells' book) on Saturday, Feb. 18th. Anyone wanting to join me should meet at the Slash X Ranch at 9am.

This is not recommended for stock Jeeps. Please have tow points on front and back.
If interested, please post up so I know who to look for at Slash X.

I know. I have only been on part of the trail, but this time I have a very high degree of confidence that we will follow the originally published path. I've done a ton of research and I am feeling good about it this time.

I wish that I could do this on Sunday, but I have a commitment that day. If we get through the trail early enough, and anybody is interested, I would like to run Pumpkineater and the V-notch trails as well.

Sounds interesting to me, is it possible to drop my truck trailer around there? If not I can probably find a wall mart parking lot or something in barstow.

We will be camped near the NW corner of the Slash X fence near N34° 45.638 W117° 01.358. Plenty of room for your truck trailer in camp.

Have fun Mike. I'll be building theft-proof bumpers this weekend.

Kurt - no disrespect to your fab skills or your vehicle, but there are other things I'd steal before your bumpers (wheels & tires come to mind).

Ya mean somebody wanted scrap metal :-). If they stole some stuff of your Jeep that's a major no no in my book. Jeeps are very personal, is just about worse than a swift kick in the nuts
